Hey, it’s Marc,

Privacy is underrated in the blockchain space. With institutional movement, this is changing. Bitwise just listed Europe’s second Canton Network ETP, and undercut the first mover by 165 basis points. The ETP is fully backed by CC, the native token of the Canton Network, a blockchain that is backed by JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, and DTCC and now handles over $6T in tokenized real-world assets across more than 600 institutions. But, Bitwise is not first. 21Shares beat them to market in November 2025, at 2.50% per year. [RELEASE]

What happened

Bitwise Europe GmbH listed the Bitwise Canton ETP (BWCC) on Xetra today (ISIN: DE000A4ARTH9). The product tracks the Kaiko CANTO Reference Rate LDNLF index and holds CC tokens 1:1 in cold storage. Annual management fee is 0.85%. The ETP is BaFin-approved and domiciled in Germany, putting it inside the same regulatory wrapper as Bitwise’s BTCE, BTC1, and DA20 lineup.

About CC: CC is the native token of Canton Network, a privacy-enabled Layer 1 public blockchain specifically engineered for institutional finance and tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs). The token was launched in July 2024. The token is used to pay for network services such as throughput, synchronization, and messaging via the network’s backbone, the Global Synchronizer. The token runs a burn-mint equilibrium model, usage fees are burned, validator rewards mint new supply, designed to converge issuance to actual network throughput. Approximately 2.5B coins are minted and burned annually.
