Marc Baumann is an entrepreneur and product marketing leader who works at the intersection of digital assets, AI and company building. For more than 12 years, he has helped bring technical products to market, build commercial teams and translate complex technology into a clear business proposition.
He founded Fiftyone in November 2022 and built an executive audience of more than 100,000. Through its research and commercial work, he has helped companies including CoinDesk, Avalanche, NEAR AI and Boston Consulting Group bring products and ideas to market.

Experience inside the industry
Bitcoin Suisse, September 2018–October 2022. As Head of Marketing, Communication & Public Affairs, Strategic Projects, Marc built and led a 15-person marketing team. He led positioning and go-to-market work across seven new product categories and more than 20 global launches, working with Product, Sales, Legal and Compliance as the company grew to more than 350 employees.
Dfns, January–May 2026. As Chief Growth Officer, he led positioning, growth and go-to-market strategy for a wallet infrastructure and API platform serving banks, fintechs and asset managers. His work covered six product launches, enterprise sales enablement, partnerships and the use of AI across commercial operations.
Fiftyone, November 2022–present. Marc has led more than 20 product marketing, growth and go-to-market engagements for technology companies, including BCG, Avalanche, MoonPay, CoinDesk and NEAR AI. He also builds and deploys AI workflows using commercial and open-source models, LLM APIs and custom Python agents across research, product and operations.
Education and industry work
Marc holds a Master of Arts in Business Innovation and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, and a CEMS Master in International Management through the National University of Singapore. He completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Blockchain at the University of Zurich in 2019.
Since 2026, he has been a member of the Advisory Committee on Cryptocurrency & Digital Finance of the New York State Assembly Ways & Means Committee.
